Social and Political action

CSMC continues to fight for sole parent issues with a focus on poverty, child support, social security, family law and housing. We participate in government advisory groups and with non-government agencies working for change. We actively respond to government policies that affect single mothers.

CSMC talks to schools, community groups and the media on sole parent issues. We attempt to publicly address the many discriminatory myths about single mothers.

The CSMC Action Group is a group of CSMC members who work collectively to campaign around issues affecting single mothers and their children. Involvement of members is strongly encouraged. Find out more.
