CSMC Bank of Brilliant Ideas

Aug 6, 2025

Single mothers are strong, resilient, determined – and full of great ideas about changes that would make a positive difference to themselves and their families.

The CSMC Bank of Brilliant Ideas is a project to help single mothers share their great ideas.

Ideas might be about systemic changes (eg, how it could be made easier for single mums to get into certain professions, or changes that might make accessing childcare easier); they might be all about building community (eg, how single mothers could connect online and in person); they might be big undertakings (eg, what would help single mothers avoid Centrelink debts); or they might be small but make a big difference (eg, what would make it easier for parents of school-aged kids to support each other).

It doesn’t matter how advanced your thinking is – you may have fleshed out a potential plan or simply had a lightbulb moment – we want to hear from you!

If interest is high, we’ll soon have lots of articles, videos and audio to share on a dedicated online space. Resourcing limitations mean we won’t be able to help bring your ideas to life, but by sharing our ideas and making connections, who knows what might happen?

The first step is to let us know a bit about you and your idea via the below form. We will talk with you about any next steps to make sure you are comfortable with them.

*The CSMC Bank of Brilliant Ideas is a member-only project. If you’re not yet a member, you can join here – it only takes a couple of minutes to join, and membership is FREE for single mothers!
