Who we are
Council of Single Mothers and their Children (CSCM) is a non-profit organisation founded 56 years ago by single mothers to secure a better life for women parenting alone and their children. We achieve change by championing the agency, rights and needs of single mothers and their children and providing specialist support services, most significantly through the Support Line.
Single mothers turn to CSMC for support, information and assistance to secure basic human rights such as financial security; affordable housing; flexible work and education opportunities; legal protection; and health, safety and wellbeing for themselves and their children. We advocate on these issues, informed by our service users, 6200 historical and current members, and strong social media following.
The Fundraising Manager will be a strategic thinker who is hands-on, proactive and able to work autonomously. They will work closely with the CEO, communications staff, and the support services to articulate CSMC’s impact and build and diversify CSMC’s revenue.
Working from a self-help model, CSMC employs only women who are or have been single mothers. This falls within the exception contained in section 28 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010. First Nations single mothers and those from culturally diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Please contact Jenny Davidson 0407 697 976 to discuss the role further. (Between 23 December and 6 January, preference to please text first to set up a time to chat.)
Please response to the key section criteria, in the position description here, in your application.
